If you press on the Hide UI button for 2 seconds you’ll get a little menu allowing you to slightly change what you see when you use the Hide UI button.

Lens Buttons: The focal length up/down buttons will still be available when you use Hide UI
No Lens Btns: The focal length up/down buttons will NOT be available when you use Hide UI

Additional tip:
When in Hide UI you can no longer select assets and any asset that you had selected is de-selected.
