If you press on the Hide UI button for 2 seconds you’ll get a little menu allowing you to change what you see when you use the Hide UI button.

Lens Btns: The focal length up/down buttons will still be visible when you use Hide UI
Cam Btns: The Camera photo and video buttons will still be visible when you use Hide UI
Shot Info: The shot info at the top middle of the screen will still be visible when you use Hide UI
No Select: You will not be able to select assets when you use Hide UI

Note: the menu will go away after you toggle one of the options.
